Born May 27, 1932 in Nimmons, Arkansas Billie Wayne Griffin but he was known and went by Bill.   He surcommed after many years of complications of Parkinson's disease.  He married the love of his life Linda Armstrong on October 31, 1959.  Bill's prize possessions were his wife and daughters.  He was preceded in death by parents; three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda; two daughters, Kara Griffin of Bryant and Kona Griffin (Billy) Meier of Poteau, Oklahoma; sister, Clara Taylor of Salem, IL; numerous neices and nephews.

Bill proudly served in the United States Army as a medic during the Korean War. He graduated from Pepperdine University where he was the valedictorian of his class.  Bill was a CPA prior to being called to be a minister in the Church of Christ.  He preached in many congregations in many states along with missionary work in India, Ghana and Africa.

Bill's dedication to the Lord was not confined to the pulpit.  He did home Bible Studies, visited and encouraged the sick in their homes, hospitals and nursing homes.

Even after his Parkinson's took his ability to preach and lead singing from the pulpit, he remained steadfast in his work for the Lord by ministering to those in prison to try to bring or return them to the Lord.

Bill will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him.  There will be no services or visitation, the family wishes to grieve privately. It was his wishes to be cremated.
