Reflections of Life Bobbie Marie (Thomas) Oliver, 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully under hospice care on Saturday, July 25, 2026. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Bobbie was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on August 4, 1943, to Elizabeth (Lizzie) C. and Charlie Thomas Sr. She dedicated her life to her family and her passion for cooking. Bobbie's smile was a testament to her love of family, friends, and life. Her infectious smile and loving spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her.
She accepted Christ at Miles Chapel CME Church under the leadership of the late Pastor William Darnell. She later joined St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. Dennis Edwards where she faithfully served as an active member of the kitchen staff. Bobbie was educated in the Little Rock Public School System and attended Horace Mann High School. Before joining the kitchen culinary staff at St. John Baptist Church, she served as Head Cook at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church's Preschool Center and worked for many years with the Red Lobster restaurant chain. She retired from both Red Lobster and St. John as a loyal and faithful employee.
Bobbie is survived by her two loving daughters, Cassandra Hilton and Felicia Collier (Ronnie) both of Little Rock; three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her beloved nieces/sisters, Sarita Taylor (John). Lucille Young, and nephews/brothers Clifton Thomas (Gloria) and Sammie Owens (Darlene): special@ grandniece Rain Washington (Tim). A host of nieces and nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews; and special nephews and niece Micheal, Carl. David, Jeffrey, and Michelle; cousins (Walker/Thomas family). and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved Mother and father Elizabeth (Lizzie) C. and Charlie Thomas Sr. sisters Rose Marie Phillips (Asa), Laurene Young (Booker Sr.), Florene Martindale (Willie), Charlean Thomas, Cora Franks (Demetrius Sr.), Lottie Thomas, Lee Anna Stewart (James Sr.), brothers Charlie Jr.
and Augustus Thomas, ex-husbands Leroy Bogan and Henry Oliver, and many other special relatives.
A celebration of Bobbie's life is being planned, and the family invites all who knew her to attend and share their favorite memories. Flowers In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bobbie's memory to the Alzheimer's Association .
