IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Lee
Webb
April 17, 1952 – May 16, 2021
Carolyn Lee (Williams) Webb entered into a pain-and-cancer free eternity on Sunday, May 16, 2021. She was born on April 17, 1952 in Paris, Texas. Carolyn married James Marvin "Lu" Webb in 1968. They welcomed their beloved daughter, Jodi, a year later. They hoped for siblings for Jodi, but after several miscarriages and one stillborn baby boy, they focused their limitless affection on their many nieces and nephews (and later, their grandchildren & great grandchildren) treating them as their own, and helped shape their lives.
Carolyn spent almost 20 years in banking, starting at First Texas Savings as a teller and working her way up to branch manager at Bank of America, and then in sales for financial investments. She moved to Nashville in 1996 and returned to property management, one of her earliest occupations, where she excelled for 12 years until she retired in 2016 in Conroe Texas. She did all of this without even a high school diploma(!) which shows exactly how smart, strong, capable and resourceful she always was.
One of her favorite hobbies was firing up her professional karaoke system at family barbecues and encouraging everyone to grab the microphone and belt out their favorite songs. She and Lu loved to duet Sonny & Cher's "I Got You, Babe." She also enjoyed hosting family get-togethers at her home, beating everyone at Rummy, swooning over Elvis, Tracy Lawrence (also Rhett Butler & Sam Elliot), watching General Hospital, spoiling her grandchildren, and spoiling her great-grandchildren EVEN MORE. Treat them like the Prince and Princess they are or she will come back to haunt you, count on it! Carolyn was always the one you could count on to support and encourage you, even if the world thought you were crazy. She took risks, embraced adventure and was fearless; though she was petite, she would go toe to toe with any Goliath any day of the week. None of us will get over the loss of her magnetic, matriarchal presence, knowing if she had had a choice in it, she would have chosen to stay with us a little longer.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of almost 45 years, Lu; their infant son; brother, Jimmy Don Williams; mother and father in law, James & Shirley Webb; grandparents, Marie and Lloyd Fegan and Nellie and George Williams; Leonard Jim Caffe; sister in law, Debi Clark; brothers in law Billy and Jack Webb; and numerous people she loved dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Jodi (Cary) Chaddock (Van, TX); grandchildren, Ryan Lewis (Janine & David Serpas) & Taylor Lewis (Travis White); great-grandchildren, Ayden & Delilah; parents, Gail & Wanda Williams (Camden, AR); sisters, Suzan Wright (Royce City, TX) & Debrah Kay (Hendersonville, TN); sister in law, Carolyn (Ross) Beasley, sister in law, Linda Webb, sister in law, Sherri Laster; friend, Robin Korth; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces & nephews, Tiffany, Krystal, AJ, Samson, Nicholas, Jen, Cris, Chase, Kelsea, Brad, Jamie, Dede, Jonathan, Samuel, Dana, Bretton, Amy, Shelley, Zach, Tori, BoBo (Micah); g reat nieces & nephews: Maggie, Jordan , Lucca, Louisa, Liam, Rory, Brady, Brenden, Caitlin, Cody, Hunter, Dylan, Maddie, Reid, Lacy, Bailey, Micky, Hannah, Eli, Clara, Johnathan Jr., Morgan, Chris, Hector, Erin, Abbie, Sam Jr., Serenity, Sasha, Caitlin, Cody, Hunter, Dylan, Maddie, Reid, Lacy, Bailey, Micky, Hannah, Eli, Clara, Jonathan Jr.; Great Great Niece's Parker and Victoria; Great Great Nephews, Bowie and Lucca.
