Charles "Chuck" Henry Swift passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019. He was 78 years old. He was born on June 21, 1941 in Middletown, Ohio to Francis Richman Swift and Mary Catherine Henry Swift. Chuck had a big heart and constantly volunteered to help others, his church and enjoyed feeding those in need. He also enjoyed woodworking and was a highly skilled tradesman, a union man employed in a long career in heavy construction and building. He was a man that could fix anything. His pastor is quoted saying "I know of no man who did more and said less than my friend Chuck." He was known for being quiet, sweet, patient and for never saying a harsh word about anyone. He loved and cared for animals of all kinds. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jarrod Richard Swift; daughter, Amanda Denise Swift.
He is survived by daughters, Amanda K. Swift of Mabelvale and Tracie (Keith) Vaughan of Benton; grandchildren, Jarrod Paul Vaughan of Benton, Andrew Charles Vaughan of Alexandria, Virginia and Kayla Nicole Vaughan of Benton; sisters, Anita (Frank) Zimmerman of Sarasota, Florida, Linda (Dave) Augspurger of Oxford, Ohio; brothers, John (Janey) Swift of Sarasota, Florida, and Willis "Bill" (Jane) Swift of Oxford, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, August 4 th at Gateway Church in Benton. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Saline Memorial Hospice or Gateway Church in Benton. Chuck will be cremated, as per his wishes. Cremation services are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas. (501)313-5431
