Debbie Wright, age 62 of Little Rock passed away Monday, January 21, 2019. Born to Don Colbert (age 81) and Linda Thomas (deceased), she is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 43 years, Rick Wright. She is survived by her children, Trey and Taylor, and by her grandchildren River Jayne (10 months) and Reilynn Kathleen (age 7). She is also survived by her brothers Don, Jr, David, Mark, Doug, Danny, and Andy, by her sisters Cinny and Liz and her stepmother, Donna.

Debbie was well known and well-loved throughout Little Rock. Though her occupation as a therapist meant that she would interact with many different people in different walks of life, it was those occasions where she wasn't working that she will be most remembered for. Debbie never took life too seriously, was always willing to laugh at herself when she had blonde moments (and there were many), but was also one of the most caring and compassionate people around. Debbie never met a stranger and would always light up the room whenever she walked in. It was an innate gift that allowed her to connect to so many people and so deeply. With Debbie, you always knew when you ran into her that she was glad to see you.

Debbie knew how to perfectly live life imperfectly and was in many ways the glue that kept a rag tag family together. The 8 brothers and sisters listed off had the best and oldest sister there was. For a few of them, she even acted as a mother. Her children had a wonderful, loving, stubborn mother by their side as well. She so enjoyed being Mimi to Reilynn and River. They were always tickled to death whenever she would come to visit, which was really every day.

Debbie was also an active member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church. Her faith is what drove her in her later years. When Rick was sick, faith was what got her through such troubling times.

Though Debbie was small in size, she cast a very large shadow that gave everyone an example to strive for.

A celebration of Debbie's life will be held Saturday January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 8300 Kanis Road, Little Rock.
