Obituary

Mr. Donald Gene Wofford was born to Mr. Benton & Mrs. Gyona Geans Wofford on June 25, 1950 in Casscoe, AR. His family moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1950 after he was born. Donald received his education through the Benton Harbor, MI schools. He was enlisted in the US Army in 1969. He served from June 27, 1969 to Nov. 29 1971. He was part of the 82nd Airborne servicemen. Donald drove the tanks in the Vietnam war. He was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, Parachute Badge, Vietnam Service Model , Purple Heart, Combat infantryman's badge, and Vietnam Campaign medal. Donald was a loving and generous man. His hobbies was reading the encyclopedia and dictionaries. He was always seeking knowledge. Donald also loved making memories with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, (Mary Wofford McHomes); three brothers, Curtis, William and Craig Wofford. He leaves to hold his memories three brothers, James (Alice) Wofford, Glen Wofford and Wallace Wofford of Detroit MI; 2 sisters: Joyce (Love) Redman and Belinda (Clarence) Avery of Stuttgart, AR. Host of Nieces Nephews , Cousins and friends.
