Dwight “Adam” Simmons, age 47, of Hensley, Arkansas, passed away on June 12, 2026.
Adam was born on September 25, 1978, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Lisa Johnson and the late Dwight Simmons. A determined and hardworking man, Adam recently accomplished earning his GED, an achievement of which he was incredibly proud. He was continuing his education and working toward earning an associate degree. Throughout his life, he dedicated 31 years to working as a carpenter, using his skills and craftsmanship to build and repair countless things for family, friends, and those in need.
Adam had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing in Big Creek, flying his drones, and spending time in nature. Whether building something with his hands or enjoying a quiet day outside, he found joy in simple pleasures. He especially treasured time spent with his family at the lake house and recently enjoyed a special weekend together that created lasting memories.
For the last six months, Adam lived with his mother in Hensley, where family and friends celebrated his sobriety and the positive path he was forging. He was known for his generous heart, kind spirit, and willingness to help anyone who needed him. Adam had a larger-than-life sense of humor and loved making people laugh. His warm smile and infectious laughter brightened the lives of those around him.
Adam is survived by his daughters, Jazmine and Haley Simmons; grandfather to Jazmine’s daughter, Aniyah; siblings, Shawn and Ashley Simmons; niece, Cadie Simmons; and nephew, Tj Logan.
The family would like to recognize the following as honorary pallbearers: Shawn Simmons, TJ Logan, Dustin Drennan, Michael Mobley, Quinton Morgan, Jonathan Simmons, and Brian Koch.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on June 26, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Cave City, 112 N Main St. Cave City, Arkansas.
