Joan Renaud, 85 of Ramona, CA, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021.  She was in the process of moving to Little Rock, AR to be closer with her children.  Her family was near at her passing.

Joan was born, November 20, 1935 in Chicago, Il to John & Geraldine McAvoy.  She graduated from High School in Chesterton, IN in 1953.

She attended Indiana University, and the University of VT, graduating with her bachelor's degree. She then continued to St. Michael's College in Colchester, VT for her Master's in Education.

She met her husband Clement Renaud of 42 years in1955.

She was a current member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Ramona, CA.  Before moving to Ramona, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas.  She was an active member in both, parishes.

Because of Joan's love of singing and music, she was a member of her Church Choir, and the Rancho Bernardo Choral.  Throughout, her life, she was highly active in theater, stage & music.  She loved performing.  She loved the Performing Arts!

She is survived by three sons; Marty & Donna Renaud of Houston, TX, Damon & Annette Renaud of Garland, TX and Terry Renaud & Fiancée, Michele Webb of Little Rock, AR.

Nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nephews & nieces.

One sister, Sharon Greene of Ramona, CA.  Two brothers, John McAvoy & Lynn Bailey of Ramona, CA & Terry McAvoy of Portland, OR.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, John & Geraldine McAvoy. Her husband, Clement Renaud, and one grandson, Joshua Renaud.

Joan was a devoted mother & wife, raising 3 sons.  She was an educator, teaching fulltime, while continuing her college education and still participating in Community Theater.  With all of this, she still managed to have the family together every night, for dinner she prepared, promptly at 6pm.
