Obituary

Glyndal Ann "Glyn" (Vinson) Nesbitt went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August 18, 2023, in Little Rock, Arkansas.  She was born in Benton, Arkansas, March 29, 1932, to Irl and Annie May (Taylor) Vinson. Glyn was a faithful follower of Christ from a young age, and was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in west Little Rock for the past 21 years. She enjoyed attending Bible studies with her community groups and participating in activities with the "Treasured Friends" seniors' group there.  Her faithful service to the Lord at the various churches she attended throughout her 91 years of life blessed a multitude of people.  Because of her deep love for Jesus and children, Glyn thoroughly enjoyed teaching them about His love. She served in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, cared for babies in the nursery, and finally worked many years in Fellowship's childcare program from which she eventually retired. Glyn was a homemaker for a number of years, and during her children's elementary years she served as home room mother for school activities as well as chaperone for many class field trips. She later attended United School of Floral Design in Little Rock, worked at Betty's Blossoms in Fayetteville, and later at Garden of Eden Florist in Little Rock, creating flower arrangements and delivering surprise bouquets to many. Glyn was a huge football fan and loved cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys. And she was always eager to go sightseeing, motorcycle riding, or joining in any celebration with family or friends. While living at Good Shepherd Ecumenical Retirement Center in Little Rock for over 21 years, she was a very caring neighbor, and her loving and giving spirit touched many there. Glyn will be greatly missed by all of them.

She is survived by her children Angela Dooty of Mesa, Arizona, Chuck (Debbie) Nesbitt of Fayetteville, Ronda (Dale) Walters of Little Rock, and Melissa Nesbitt of Texarkana; grandchildren, Mary (John) Bush of Springfield, Missouri, Mandy (Austin) Sturdivant of Fayetteville, Austin Walters of Little Rock, and Jarin (Tim) Fontenoy of Liberty Hill, Texas; great-grandchildren, Riverlyn Bush, Zeke and Eleanore Sturdivant, and Beckett and Graham Fontenoy; several extended family members and a host of friends.

Glyn was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Cpl. Jerry Wendell Vinson and Robert Joseph Vinson; her twin sister, Gwyndal Lee "Gwyn" Forrester, and her husband Charles "Charlie" Nesbitt.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Fellowship Bible Church, 1401 Kirk Road, Little Rock, Arkansas. Family visitation will be at Fellowship Bible Church immediately following the service.
