IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory Lysander
Patrick
September 15, 1949 – December 21, 2020
Gregory Lysander Patrick of Little Rock, AR (by way of Dayton, OH and Evansville, IN) found eternal comfort at the age of 71 in the twilight hours of winter solstice, Dec. 21, 2020. Greg is preceded in death by his younger brother Bruce, and parents Robert and Norma Patrick. Greg earned his undergraduate degree at Indiana University, where he met and married his wife, Christine. The newlyweds ran off to Germany where they lived for a while before purchasing a cheap patch of land in Yellville, AR with plans to live off the land and play bluegrass in the square. He later moved his family to Little Rock where he worked at Boyd Music Center on 12th St. while earning his Master's degree. He spent his career in service to others as a licensed clinical social worker at the Centers for Youth and Families, area nursing homes, and the Arkansas Department of Corrections Diagnostics Unit. Greg was a builder and a tinkerer; he always had some project going in the garage. He made jewelry, built cabinets and guitars, and crafted photo frames and shadow boxes. He was a banjo picker, a music lover, a gamer, and a biker. He practiced Aikido and did his best to nurture a mind-body-spirit philosophy in his children.
Left to cherish Greg's memory are his beloved life partner of 50 years, Christine Patrick, son Ryan Patrick, daughter Rachel Finley (Michael), and five grandchildren: Mahogany, Naveyah, Michael Jr., Emerson, and Aspen.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Greg's name to your local mental health non-profit or an organization that serves the elderly. Please sign the guestbook. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas (501) 313-5431.
