James T. (Buddy) Mayhew passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in White Hall, Arkansas. He was born October 2, 1939, in Wrightsville, Arkansas to Pete Norwood Mayhew and Delcia (Stephens) Mayhew. He began his career as a typewriter salesman and repairman at the age of 16 at Mahan Typewriter Co. in Conway, Arkansas. In 1970 he opened Mayhew Office Equipment in Pine Bluff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete Mayhew and Delcia Mayhew; his wife of 42 years, Maria; his brothers, Frank and Gary Mayhew, Leo Mahan Jr.; one grandson, Eric England, and his stepdaughter, Simone Plaudis.

He is survived by his three children, Sandra Williams (Aubrey) of Redfield, Karen Perrier of Benton, and Sam Mayhew (Renee) of White Hall. Other survivors include one stepson, Mike Jolly (Jodie) of White Hall; eleven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

A family memorial service took place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Redfield.
