James Aaron Gilfedder III, 19, of Batesville, Arkansas, formerly Yucaipa, California, passed away on January 30, 2021. He was born in Palm Springs, California on July 19, 2001 to parents James II and Nicole Gilfedder.

James was raised in Yucaipa and graduated from Yucaipa High School in 2020. He was a freshman at Lyon College in Batesville where he had accepted a position on their baseball varsity team. In James's spare time, he enjoyed fishing, off roading in his truck (when he wasn't supposed to), listening to country music and spending time with family and friends. Just like his large stature, James had a large, generous heart and was always willing to offer one of his big bear hugs with a tight squeeze. He will be missed as the family comedian as well.

James is survived by his parents, James II and Nicole Gilfedder; his sister, Heather Gilfedder; as well as many extended family and friends.

A memorial service celebrating James's life will be held at a later date in California.
