James "Boyd" Story departed this life on Wednesday October 23, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was a veteran having served in the Navy aboard the USS Compass. Boyd was the best father ever, a loving and devoted PawPaw, a good uncle and brother to some, a great friend to all, and an extremely skilled carpenter. Boyd was well known for his trophy deer hunting in his younger years. He was an avid gardener throughout his life and so many people were able to enjoy the fruits of his labor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mattie Story; brother, Homer Story, Jr; sister, Anne Parchman.

He is survived by his daughter, Jade Story; his beloved granddaughters, Terra and Ava Elledge of Little Rock; sisters, Sandy Foley of Fayetteville, Renate Story and Beth Story Greenwood of Brinkley, Wilma Lee Hall of CO; brother, Harold Story of Vancouver; his favorite nephew, Chris Story of Fayetteville.

A Celebration of Boyd's life will be held at his residence on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, please educate yourself or a loved one about the importance of a colonoscopy.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas (501)313-5431.
