Jennifer Simmons Hopper, 57, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Dr. Nolan L. Simmons and Mary Rose Simmons. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy Simmons and Melissa Shope.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Hopper; children, Lisa Teters (Buddy), Brandy McIntire (Seth), Carson Hopper, Alan Polk; grandchildren, Marianna, Christopher, Andrew, Logan, Noah, Chloe, and Lucy; nephew Jon Shope; bonus daughter, Mar Kesha Austin; a host of very close childhood friends.

Jennifer was very dedicated to teaching children with special needs. She advocated for them to grow to their full potential and she loved taking them to participate in Special Olympics. Her students weren't just her students, they were her family. When she wasn't teaching she enjoyed time with her family and friends, calling The Hogs, and watching tennis. She had a deep love for the beach and her favorite place was Hawaii.

The family will host a Celebration of Life get together on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This will be held at her home at 164 Calais Dr. Maumelle, AR 72113.
