Obituary

Joanna passed away peacefully leaving all her pain and suffering behind on March 04, 2019. With his arms outstretched, Our Heavenly Father waited for her at the Gates of Heaven, to welcome her home. Holding her tight, he whispered "job well done".

Joanna was born on May 7, 1952 in Cairo, Illinois, the daughter of the late Joseph Jr. "Joe" and Arlene Scritchfield. She was also the proud mother to her sons Richard "Richie" (AR) and Andrew "Andy" Crimmins (FL). She also, was a very loving and caring 2 nd Mother to her nephew's Richard "Lee" and James "Jimmy" Alewine, when they lost their own sweet mother (Paula Scritchfield Massey) to cancer.

Jo was a free spirited soul and a wild child growing up. She found joy in mother nature. There is not a bird, reptile or animal she would not take in as her own. She loved to spoil her dogs and riding horses. She married her Twin Flame/ Soulmate Harrell Jourdan on July 3, 1981 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was her ˈwɒrɪə; (Warrior) helping her get through the many battles she faced. He was by her side as she fought the battle of Cancer twice, holding her hand as she endured brain surgery only to recover and be taken down once more by a major stroke. Learning to talk, stand and walk again, there was Harrell sharing words of encouragement reminding her of her strength, "you can do this,". Side by side, their battle cry was heard. Only did it silence, when she made it safely into God's arms.

Jo is survived by husband Harrell; sons, Richie (Deidra) and Andy (A'me) Crimmins;  sister and brothers, Linda (David) Thomson, Gary (Dee) Scritchfield, Doug (Alice) Scritchfield; sister and brother in-laws Shirley Johnson, Kennith Ferrell and Ronald Ferrell; grandchildren, Gracie, Jacey, Chase,KJ. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as other members of her extended family.

Joanna is preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law Ora Bell and Ottis Jourdan, her sister Paula Massey, her brother and sister-in-law Debra Force.

A Memorial service celebrating Jo's life will be 2:00 PM March 16, 2019 at Community Park Church 4630 S. Shobe Road, Bryant, AR 72022  with Pastor KC Graves officiating.
