Joe Pate Taylor age 71 of Rye, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 6. 2026 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on March 7. 1955 to Travis and Flossie Gertrude Taylor.  He was a lifelong member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church in Rye AR.

Joe retired from Potlatch and then enjoyed many years of bow hunting and fishing. He also loved to tell stories, listen to music and eat. He is now getting to enjoy all of those things with the ones who have gone on before him. Just imagine all the story telling going on with his Mama, Daddy, sisters Pat and Glenda, brother Ed along with other family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Martie Taylor; daughter, Candace Barnard (Joseph) of Rye; grandchildren, Taylor and Callie Jo Barnard; brothers, Tim Taylor (Teresa) and Bob Taylor; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

His ashes will be scattered at his favorite place to go hunting and fishing.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas (501)313-5431.
