Obituary

Joseph Herman Kirchner of Cammack Village passed away peacefully into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Wednesday January 13, 2021. Born July 24, 1925, in Little Rock, he was the son of Joseph Herman Kirchner, Sr. and Clara Dickneite Kirchner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James and three sisters: Kay Koch, Regina Koch and Theresa Deuerling. Survivors are his wife of 67 years, Patricia Land Kirchner and children Jeffrey Joseph (JoAnn), Larry Stephen (Malinda), Gary David, Janet Lee Reynolds, William Nicholas (Yvonne), Lisa Marie McInturff (Mark) and Mark Edward (Lessie) and thirteen grandchildren Scott Kirchner, Adam Reynolds, Jennifer Mills of Yukon, OK, Christen Kirchner of Weisbaden Germany, Josh McInturff, Jessica Thein of St. Louis, MO, Ryan Kirchner of Dallas, TX, Bolton Kirchner, Drake Reynolds, Kasey Kirchner, Kelsey Kirchner of Fayetteville, Taylor Lamas of Memphis, TN and John Kirchner of Fayetteville. He is blessed with 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Nicholas and two sisters Mary Ann Saucier (Al) and Rose Schadler of St. Maries, ID and many loving nieces and nephews.

Joe dedicated his life to our Lord, his family and his church, Our Lady of the Holy Souls. He was a graduate of Subiaco Academy class of 1947, after serving his country in World War II in the Pacific in the Army Air Corps. He was recalled to service in the Korean War. He was a draftsman working for Swaim & Allen, Pickens and Bond, and Arkansas School Service. He enjoyed building architectural models, woodworking, gardening but most of all spending time with his family.

Due to Covid, services will be held at a future date. Please remember him in your prayers. Donations may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Souls, Msgr. Allen Trust Fund or Arkansas Hospice. The family wants to thank the staff at Arkansas Hospice for their loving care that they provided to him.
