Julia Ann Holsomback, 84 of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on August 19, 2023.  She was born on February 21, 1939 in Higgins, Texas to Lloyd and Rachel Long Smoot.  As a small child she moved to Elkhart, Indiana, where she lived for almost thirty years.  In 1969, the family moved to Hot Springs, AR.  Julia continued her career as a beautician, having her own shop for many of those years.

Julia was a family oriented person who cherished her loved ones dearly.  She found great joy in the presence of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Julia's home was always filled with laughter and love, as she welcomed not only her own family, but also other children and relatives into her heart.

Julia had a creative spirit.  She had a passion for writing and even had some of her stories published.  Her talent extended to drawing and often shared her beautiful artwork with those she considered kind and helpful.  Outside of work, Julia was active in her church.  She loved to crochet, sew and garden.

Julia is survived by sons, Kim (Mickie) Holsomback, Jeff Holsomback, Dave (Kathy) Holsomback; grandchildren, Jennifer Etherton, Sunny Omar, Brandi (Dustin) Torrence, and Eric Holsomback; great grandchildren; siblings, Anna Morris, Jo (Ray) Toth, Betty Weed, Carolyn Wenger, Arthur (Evie) Smoot, Martha Miller; sisters-in-law, Beverly Holsomback, Rachel (Marvin) Yoder, Elsie Foster and Linda Frey.  Julia was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Carl Holsomback; parents, Lloyd and Rachel Smoot; brothers, Roy, Dale, Terry, Lloyd Junior, and Eugene Smoot; brother-in-law, Lewis Holsomback.
