Luther will be deeply missed by his cherished friend Bob Hess, his godchild Joy, and by countless nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and colleagues.

Luther never met a stranger—his kindness and willingness to help others made him a friend to all. He defended the weak and stood firm in the ideals and general principles he lived by. His dedication to his community was exemplified in the service he offered in his years in the police force. Luther's skill as a hunter and fisherman knew no rival. Many of his most cherished moments were spent in the nature with those that he loved the most. The legacy he leaves is not one carved in stone but woven into the lives of others. His name and stories are etched into our hearts and minds—his legacy is one of character, spirit, and tenacity. His memory lives on through the continued love of his family.

Luther passed on Friday, February 21st, 2025, at 83 years of age in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the Pittman Family home in Calico Rock, Arkansas.
