Mary Amelia
Carroll
October 1, 1960 – September 22, 2025
Mary Amelia Carroll, age 64, of Haskell, Arkansas, departed from her earthly life on the evening of September 22nd, 2025, surrounded by the love and embrace of her family. Mary was a beacon of light, pillar of kindness, and a true friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Born on October 1st, 1960 in Pine Bluff, she was the beloved daughter of Henry Greeson and Inez Puckett-Greeson. Mary's life gave way to a lifetime of giving, as she found her purpose in caring for others, always offering up anything she had if it meant easing the burden for others. She had a special gift for making people feel seen, valued, and celebrated; always remembering birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays with cards, phone calls, homemade treats, or an AWESOME Goodwill find. Mary was a constant source of encouragement and a listening ear for anyone who needed comfort; offering wisdom, warmth, and love in abundance. She never missed an opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones, whether it meant hunting, fishing, sewing, gardening, or whatever; She made the most of every moment shared. She will be remembered as never being boastful with any of her successful expeditions, except for her catch in fishing. She was definitely an avid fisher-woman as long as she made the first catch. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her first-born, beloved granddaughter, Ashton Carroll.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Preston Carroll; her children: Preston (Ginger) Carroll Jr., Michael (Laura) Carroll, Sarah (Josh) Grigsby, and Holly Thompson; grandchildren: Payton Orrell, Chevy Carroll, Lexi Carroll, Eric Grigsby, J.J. Grigsby, Kendall Rider, Greyson Carroll, Drake Grigsby, Autumn Grigsby, and Corbin Carroll; brother, William (Beverly) Greeson; sisters, Brenda(Joe) Greeson Thorne, and Judy (Curtis) Greeson Cunningham; as well as, many beloved "adopted" children, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and family members who were touched by her love and generosity and that she so deeply cared for.
