Mike Gaudette age 77 of El Dorado passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was born on January 14, 1945 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Joseph Gaudette Jr. and Norma Ellen Trump Gaudette. Mike's father was killed in World War II. He was raised by his mother and step father, Bobby A. Atherton. Mike graduated from Eunice High School in Eunice, Louisiana. Shortly afterwards, he joined the United States Air Force. After returning from the service, Mike became a certified welder working for El Dorado Foundry in El Dorado until his retirement. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church of El Dorado and Old Union Baptist Church. Mike enjoyed raising orchids, gardening, fishing, and taking small trips with his wife of 38 years and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by father, George Joseph Gaudette; step father, Bobby B. Atherton.
Mike is survived by wife, Colleen Gaudette; mother, Norma Atherton; step daughter, Dana Vickers; step son, Fletcher Knox Rhyan; grandchildren, Jake Cogburn, Tyler Vickers, Hunter Vickers, Harley Daniels, and Michael Rhyan; nephew, Brandon Parks; niece, Casey Adams; brothers and sister, George and Mary Ann Gaudette, Steve and Debbie Atherton, Thana and Bob Parks.
