Nellie J. Compton age 75 of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock.  She was born on May 2, 1945 in Morristown, Tenn to Martha Hazel Gray and Robert D. Crigger.  Nellie was preceded in death by husband, William Mark Compton; parents, Martha and Robert Crigger; son, Bobby Compton; granddaughter, Kacey Hobbs; brothers, Robert Crigger, Jesse Crigger and Billy Crigger.  If Nellie wasn't doing puzzles, reading books, or knitting, she was cooking and baking for her family.  She loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nellie is survived by sons, William (Amy) Compton and Mark (Tammy) Compton; niece, Brenda (Leonard) Thweatt; special friend, Marya (Steve) Keith; sisters, Martha Helen Jackson, Patsy Strange and Myrline Weidman; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two bonus grandchildren; four bonus great grandchildren ;numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Nellie's life will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Trinity Pentecostal Church 6310 Mabelvale Pike Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 with Brother Don Rasco.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas (501)313-5431.
