Norma Ellen Gaudette Atherton, 102, died peacefully on December 12, 2023, in El Dorado. Born July 31, 1921, in Wymore, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Stella and Raymond Trump. Married to George J. Gaudette. Jr., until his death World War II. She married Bobbie B. Atherton in 1946, a career Navy serviceman. The family moved around as duty stations changed until he retired in 1960. After their retirement, Norma and B.B. settled in El Dorado, and then later in Wymore, Nebraska, where they lived until moving to Little Rock in 2003.

Norma was a surgical nurse, a devoted wife and mother, a talented knitter, and a bowler. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband B.B., her sister Helen Barley, and her son, Michael Gaudette (Colleen) of El Dorado. She is survived by her son George J. Gaudette, III (Mary Ann) of Ft. Madison, Iowa, her son Stephen D. Atherton (Deborah Sallings), of Roland, Arkansas, her daughter, Thanna Parks (Bob) of El Dorado, and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
