Shawna Marie Cross-Johns, age 38, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 3, 2019.  She was born May 4, 1981 in Dallas, Texas.  She was a student at Vol State University, where she studied sociology with the goal of becoming a mental health advocate.  She enjoyed art, music, and writing.  She attended Highland Chapel Union Church in Ridgetop, Tennessee.  Shawna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Catherine Sharpe of Paragould and Benjamin and Frances Cross of Hardy.

She leaves behind two daughters, Jayda and Madison Johns, both of Cabot; parents, Kathy Sharpe and Ben Cross of Greenbrier, Tennessee; one sister and brother-in-law, Francesca and Bandy Shearer of Paragould; and two brothers, Charles and Joshua Cross of Greenbrier.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Highland Chapel Union Church in Ridgetop, Tennessee with Pastor Jon Briggs presiding over the service.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas. (501) 313-5431.
