IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shelby Obert
Stephens
February 25, 1949 – February 16, 2022
Shelby Obert Stephens Jr was born February 25, 1949 in Little Rock, AR. He died February 16, 2022 in Little Rock, AR
In Shelby's early years, he enjoyed working alongside his father in the family business at Shelby's Meat Market. He also enjoyed spending time playing his guitar and making music with his spiritual brothers. He spent his last 30 years enjoying life in the country with his wife Barbara and their many farm animals and pets. He loved to ride his big blue Ford tractor around the property and pond. Nothing made him much happier than a big steak with all the fixings. He truly enjoyed a good meal.
Shelby is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Stephens; two daughters, Miranda Burl (Herb) of Little Rock and April Schembra (Phillip) of Dover, AR; one step daughter, Kellie Martin (Jarod) of Morrilton, Arkansas; three grandsons, Chase Fondren, Kaleb Fondren and Kingston Burl; two granddaughters, Harley Schembra and Savannah Long (Kyle); three great grandchildren, Nova Long, Madison and Lawson; two sisters, Debra Simpson (Gary) of LR and Cynthia Arroyo (Ulises) of Cabot, AR; two nieces, Ashley Jackson and Candice (James); three nephews, Mak and Miles Beyer and Cory Jackson.
We all miss him very much and hold dear to our hearts the same faith he had in Jesus' words at John 11:25 "The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life" and also the words of comfort found at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
