Sylvia Jean Bowlby was born on March 28, 1966, at Martin Army Hospital, Fort Benning, Georgia, to parents Walter David Bowlby & Emilie Schonmann Bowlby.

As the only child of military parents Sylvia traveled in her early childhood years and eventually settled with her parents permanently in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sylvia attended elementary school at St. Theresa's Catholic School along with later years graduating from Parkview High School in the LRSD community.

Sylvia was a dedicated caretaker to both of her parents as their health failed in recent years. She loved animals which included her poodles as part of her extended family. Sylvia was known as a kind and sweet individual who loved music.

Sylvia leaves behind her aunt, Beth Nelsen of Little Rock, Arkansas, and her uncle, Tom Bowlby of Dumas, Arkansas, as well as many cousins. No service is planned and in lieu of flowers please donate in her memory to local animal care facilities.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas (501)313-5431.
