Thomas Austin Spencer III age 71 passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on September 24, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Thomas Austin Spencer II and Shirley Graves. Tom served his country in the United States Marine. He was a man of many talents who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Tom worked as a city bus driver who was recognized for his heroic actions in saving a man's life while on duty. It warms our hearts to know Tom is restored to the healthy, kind, gentle yet strong man we knew and loved. We will miss his wicked sense of humor and flirting, but we will see his wonderful smile again someday.

Tom is survived by wife, Jane Pendergrass Vail; his son, Steven Austin Spencer; his daughter, Shannon Hughes; grandchildren, Justin and Jazmine; sister, Dorothy Spencer Becknell; stepchildren, Kim, Sean, Gabriel, Angie, Angelo, Annemarie, Becca; two angels, Jamie and Shannon.

Tom's ashes will be scattered in his favorite fishing hole by Steven and Justin at a later date. God bless him and comfort his many friends and family. He is only temporarily gone from our sight.
