Thomas William Thayer passed away on March 28th, 2026. Thomas was the beloved first-born son of Robert E Thayer and Elizabeth Juanita Thayer (Cunningham) who proceeded him in death. In addition to the beloved brother of Mark Allen Thayer (wife: Lauren) and Uncle to Lillian and Arleigh Thayer, who dearly miss him today.

Thomas was dealt a tough hand, yet above all else he continued to make the most of life by choosing to be involved in the community. He spent decades of his life devoted to the numerous life-saving facilities within the Birch Tree Community. He contributed his grace, gratitude, and skills to the mechanics department and the art therapy program. His works were even often the highlight of local art shows and charities of each annual showcase.

Thomas loved spending time writing to his father, brother and as he jokingly noted his unexpected sister-in-law and nieces. He would share his thoughts about his day-to-day activities or his excitement for upcoming events. Yet, his authentic, delightful gratitude for his family to meet his chosen family at Birch Tree was the highlight of every visit or event.

We hope his life and tenderness will be remembered by all that truly got the chance to spend time with him and love him. Thomas will be deeply missed by all.
