Tommie Hankins, 62, of North Little Rock, passed away March 11 ^th 2020. Tommie was born May 18 ^th , 1957. He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Collins Hankins, his brother, Gary Alan Hankins, and most recently, his daughter, Stephanie Lauren Hankins.

Tommie is survived by his wife, Hope Harmon Hankins of North Little Rock, his daughters Savanah Hankins and Madeline Inzinna (Avara), granddaughter Harper Hope, father Phil Hankins of North Little Rock, and brother Dan Hankins (Cathy) of Midlothian, VA., along with many other loving relatives.

Tommie grew up in NLR, graduating in the first class to go completely through Lakewood Elementary, Lakewood Junior High, and Northeast High School in 1975. He graduated from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville, spending much of his college time in the Kappa Sigma fraternity house, following both of his brothers, Dan and Gary. He followed in his dad Phil's career selling Zep products throughout Arkansas.

Tommie so loved his wife, family, and friends with his whole heart. He maintained many friendships for over 50 years on a constant basis. He loved fishing, mostly for trout on the Little Red and White rivers, riding his Harley, 4-wheeling on Mill Creek, and riding horses, particularly at the chuck wagon races in Clinton with daughter Stephanie. He also never met a boat he didn't like, nor a body of water that didn't interest him. He simply loved everything outdoors.

He loved to tell anecdotes and stories about life as he experienced it, or simply inject wit into anyone else's stories in the funniest, and sometimes surprising way. He became quite the cowboy later in life. There are very few pictures of him without his cowboy hat on.

He spent the last weekend of his life with Hope in New Orleans celebrating his daughter Savanah's 7 ^th Leap year birthday (28) with the added bonus of stopping to see Madeline and his new grandbaby on the way home. A perfect last weekend with all of his girls!

For all that knew Tommie, the world will be a little bit different place without him because to know Tommie, was to love Tommie. We will miss him greatly.

A celebration of Tommie's life will be held at a later date due to recent public health safety and travel concerns. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas (501)313-5431.
