Wayne L. Schmidt of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on June 7, 2026 at the age of 67. He was born and brought up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and moved to Arkansas in 1985 to take a job at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where he worked for over 40 years.

Wayne had a good life and was loved by many friends, relatives and coworkers. His kind, loving and generous nature made him a favorite to all that knew him. He loved traveling, camping, hunting, fishing, boating and especially cooking. His smoked cheese was famous among his friends because it was a tasty delight.

For all who knew Wayne, he will surely be missed because he touched the heart of everyone who knew him. Wayne loved his family and we all dearly loved him. We will all continue to cherish his memory.

Wayne leaves behind his sister Heather Clark of Connecticut, his brother Kevin Schmidt of Hawaii and many nieces, nephews and friends.
