William "Brian" Gist, 59, of Benton, AR, left this world on May 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. He was born on November 11, 1964 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to the late Bill and Jean Munn Gist.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Sherri Woodson Gist, whom he affectionately said he had loved his whole life. His legacy lives on through his children, Jacob Gist (Karah), Ashley Heber, and Olivia Gist, Albrey Love (Sam) and Preston Rowlett (Samantha); fourteen grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Johnson (Parker) and Dede Shinabery (Mark); two nieces; two nephews; many dear friends.

Brian grew up in Heber Springs, Arkansas where he developed a love for the outdoors, good music, good food, and causing mischief with his three amigos, Dale, Dennis, and Tommy. His adventurous spirit and love for life were further enriched by his close friendship, forged in the 90's, with fellow parrot head Todd of Quitman.

At Brian's request, no services will be held. He will be remembered for his warmth, friendship, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cremation Services of Arkansas (501)313-5431.
